Q. WILL DIFFERENT COLORED ROSES CREATE DIFFERENT COLORED BEADS?
A. The rose petal beads will usually be one of two colors either a tannish or deep purple to black with some tinges of the original color .(this is due to the chemical reation during the heating process)
Q. WHAT WILL MY BEADS LOOK LIKE?
A. I hand roll each bead so no two beads will be exactly the same. There will be slight variations in size and shape, this only add to the uniqueness of the piece (s)
Q. DO MY ROSES HAVE TO BE FRESH?
A. No both fresh and dried flowers can be used to make your rose petal beads I can create beads from roses that are any age as long as they are not moldy So if you do have fresh flowers enjoy them til they wilt then send me your PETALS so I can start creating your truly one of a kind keepsake. (see how to ship your roses for shipping details and instructions)
Q. HOW DO YOU MAKE THE BEADS
A. Sorry but thats my little secret ..know one makes them just like me and my process for preserving your roses and turning them into beautiful beads for you to treasure forever is unique to me! It took me a long time to figure out what worked and what didnt but it was well worth it for through trial and error I have found what I think is the best way to make the beads the strongest, purest and prettiest
Q. HOW DO I CARE FOR MY ROSE PETAL BEAD KEEPSAKES/JEWELRY?
A. Your rose petal beads are very well made and a clear protective coating is givin to each bead. For the most part no extra care is needed. Just Remember YOUR ROSE PETAL BEADS ARE ORGANIC and do require some simple precautions note that some chemicals and cleaners can get through and discolor, causing staining and/or damage the bead. The main rule of thumb with your all natural rose petal beads is DO NOT SHOWER OR BATHE WHILE WEARING YOUR ROSE PETAL BEADS & DO NOT IMMERSE BEADS IN ANY LIQUIDS OR USE CLEANERS ON THEM, It is also recommended that you store them in a cool dry place avoiding humity and places with strong odors. Do not leave in direct sunlight or in extreme heat or cold when not in use. I create your beads to be heirloom pieces and to last for generations just be mindful of what your doing while wearing your special keepsake.
Q. WHY ARE BEAD CAPS USED AND SHOULD I ORDER AN ITEM THAT INCLUDES THEM?
A. Bead caps are used mainly for asthetic reasons. The caps add beauty, give contast, and add visual interest to the bead and piece. The bead caps do provide some level of protection, so if you are planning on handeling your beads frequently you may want to consider getting cappped beads but it is not required.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE ARE ANY EXTRA BEADS PRODUCED FROM MY PETALS?
If there are more beads produced than what you have ordered you have a few options to choose from, you have the option of purchasing them, donating them to The Rose Petaler or having The Rose Petaler hold them up to 3 months. (for the last option prior arrangements and a small fee will need to apply)
